Arson attack on Moy GFC clubhouse now being treated as a ‘hate crime’

Police in Mid Ulster are now treating the fire that caused extensive damage to the clubhouse at Moy Tír na nÓg GFC as a hate crime.

And have reissued their appeal for information following the suspected arson at the Benburb Road premises.

It is believed a window was broken and flammable liquid poured inside and set alight sometime between 10.30pm on Saturday 12 and 8.30am on Sunday, September 13.

Extensive damage was caused to the property and Detective Inspector Will Tate has appealed to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact officers in Dungannon on 101.
