Male assaulted by 'three others' outside Cookstown business


Police are appealing for information following the reported assault of one male by three others outside a Union street premises on December 3.

It is understood the incident took place just before 10pm, and that the three men involved fled the scene in the direction of Coagh and William Streets.

Constable Nigel Chambers said: "At approximately 9.55pm a male was assaulted by three other males outside a business premises on Union Street, Cookstown. The three males then made off in the direction of Coagh Street and William Street.

"We are appealing to anyone that may have any information regarding this incident or to anyone that may have witnessed the assault to contact Cookstown Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1262 on 03/12/16.

"Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
