A 35-year-old man was arrested in Dungannon this morning in relation to the discovery of Class A and Class B drugs behind a telegraph pole on the Derrycreevy Road in January 2015.
“These were so dangerous left in a public place,” PSNI Mid Ulster said, while ACC Martin dubbed the find “beyond irresponsible”.
It is understood the man, who was taken into police custody on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply and possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply, has now been released.
The drugs, which were hidden along a road near the Stangmore roundabout, were discovered by neighbourhood police after forensic evidence provided links.
A spokesperson for the police said a report will be sent to the PPS.
