A driver was so drunk that his car crossed completely over the central white line while he drove under the influence.
Andrzej Wargacki, 58, from Lisgobban Road in Moy, was stopped by police on Moy Road in Dungannon on May 17 after they observed him weaving around the road.
As they followed him he “crossed completely over the white line”.
They stopped him and noted the signs of alcohol consumption. He failed a roadside test and admitted to having been drinking.
In court on Wednesday, Mr Wargacki apologised and stated that it had never happened before.
District Judge John Meehan handed down a fine of £100 before disqualifying the defendant from driving for a year. He did state that he would allow a 25 per cent reduction in the ban upon completion of the drink driver’s course. An offender’s levy of £15 was imposed.
