A young mother who slashed the face of a nightclub bouncer with her stiletto heel, has been sentenced to prison at Dungannon Court.
District Judge, John Meehan, described the attack by Megan O’Donnell, 26, from Churchfields in Rasharkin, as “appalling and quite merciless”.
O’Donnell had contested the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
After reading a pre-sentence report, the Judge said O’Donnell had inflicted two kicks to the bouncer’s face with her stiletto.
“This takes place when all the while her (defendant’s) partner is being restrained on the ground”, the Judge told the court.
O’Donnell’s lawyer said she continues to challenge the nature of the incident, but accepted the judgement of the court.
Judge Meehan said the victim had been left with “lifelong scarring” as a result of the attack, and sentenced O’Donnell to six months in prison. She must also pay £500 compensation.
