Kids as young as six years old have been involved in targeting cars with eggs in Dungannon.
In a statement posted on their Facebook page, police in Dungannon said they would be urging local shops not to sell eggs to children
As well as potentially causing damage to the cars, they could be causing a danger to road users
“Do you know what your children are doing during their Easter holidays?
We’ve had reports of children, possibly as young as six years old, throwing eggs at passing vehicles,” said police.
“The latest incident happen about 30 minutes ago. As well as potentially causing damage to the cars, they could be causing a danger to road users.
“It might be Easter, but that’s no excuse. What happened to children painting hard-boiled eggs and rolling them down a hill at this time of the year?
The police added: “We will be asking local shops not to sell eggs to young people.”
