A Dungannon woman has been fined at the local Magistrates Court after she failed to produce her insurance to police.
Claire McLaughlin, 28, from Woodburn Crescent, pleaded guilty to the offence, which came to light at Northland Row in the town on April 14 last year.
Police were alerted to McLaughlin’s vehicle on this occasion, a prosecuting lawyer told Dungannon Magistrates Court.
McLaughlin made herself known to police the following day, when she was asked to produce her insurance but did not, the prosecutor continued.
Defending, a lawyer for McLaughlin told the court that Ms McLaughlin had been unable to produce her insurance documentation until the present time.
McLaughlin’s lawyer also appealed for time to pay the fine of £100, stressing that the defendant was a single mother and in receipt of benefits.
