Dungannon woman was ‘very drunk’ when she called police ‘f***ing w***ers’

A Dungannon woman who called police officers ‘f***ing w***ers’ has been fined for disorderly behaviour and resisting police.

Lisa Marie McKenna, 35, of Lisnaree pleaded guilty to the offences in relation to an incident on April 7 this year.

A court heard how police stopped a vehicle on Ballynakilly Road on the date in question and Ms McKenna was a passenger in the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested by police for drink driving and police offered Ms McKenna a lift home as she was also intoxicated, She refused calling officers ‘f***ing w***ers’. She was warned by officers on several occasions about her behaviour and was even told by her partner who was driving the car to calm down. She continued to be aggressive to police and when she was arrested for disorderly behaviour called officers “f***ing c**ts, go and find some real criminals.”

At the station Ms McKenna refused to provide police with her details.

Defence solicitor for Ms McKenna, Jarlath Faloon told the court his client was ‘very drunk’ at the time of the incident and offers no excuse for her behaviour.

District Judge John Meehan imposed fines £215.
