‘False reports’ case faces further delays at Dungannon Court

The prosecution in the case of a Dungannon man accused of wasting police time, have been given two weeks to show why the charges against the defendant should not be withdrawn without prejudice.

Sean McDowell, 24, from Ballygawley Road, faces two charges relating to allegedly making false reports that an offence had taken place on April 21 and 28 last year.

At Dungannon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, a lawyer for the prosecution asked to have the case adjourned to obtain records of 999 calls.

The case was adjourned until February 25.
