Fire fighters respond to major blaze in Dungannon

Fire crews from across the country were called out to a major blaze in Dungannon in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The NI Fire and Rescue Service said they responded to a report of a fire at Creenagh Lane, Dungannon.

“Extra resources were dispatched to assist fire fighting of a well alight large shed (40M x 25M approx.) containing a quantity of timber and a compressor,” said the NIFRS.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two thermal image cameras, two compressed air foam jets, a hosereel jet and two jets to extinguish the blaze.

“Fire crews from Dungannon, Cookstown, Pomeroy, Lisburn, Warrenpoint and Clogher stations attended the incident.”
