Drivers are being urged not to ignore road closure signs as at least two vehicles had to be rescued from floods in the Eglish area.
A PSNI spokesperson explained on Monday: “Unfortunately a number of vehicles drove past a road closed sign” and emergency services were tasked to the scene.
As the flooding of recent days continues to affect large parts of Tyrone, police advised motorists to avoid the Ballycullen Road and Armagh Road areas of Moy.
“We would also ask that people do not attempt to go down any road where a ‘Road Closed’ or ‘Flooding’ sign has been placed”, continued police.
“Some motorists have been ignoring signage, taking the chance that they will get through and they’ve been getting stuck in flood water. The signs are there for a reason - to keep you safe - please heed them.”
