Councillor Nuala Donnelly has expressed frustration at the Road Service proposed restrictions for Coalisland town.
The ongoing issue has been revived by fresh proposals to bring increased parking controls and enforcement to the town.
Councillor Donnelly stated: “When the Parking issue was raised earlier this year, Sinn Fein had a pro active response to the proposed restrictions and introduction of enforcement measures.
“Sinn Fein elected representatives liaised with the Traders shoppers and residents to gauge their opinion on the matter.
“I pressed Road Service that the proposals meant that parking enforcement would come hand in hand with these changes to which they agreed.”
At a meeting held with traders and Roads Service Cllr Donnelly stated it was unfair to penalise the traders & people of Coalisland.
