Brave mother of three Lisa Watt (nee Toner), who launched a fundraising appeal to pay for a potentially life-saving trip to the USA, died on Monday morning with her husband and mother by her side.

The inspirational 31-year-old Coalisland woman was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2013 - just 10 days after the birth of her third child.

After undergoing a gruelling ordeal of daily radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy, she was given the all-clear.

But a routine scan last year revealed the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes.

Despite numerous rounds of treatment she was given the devastating news that her cancer was terminal and that the only life-saving treatment available to her was in America.

She launched a fundraising appeal in October to help pay for the potentially life-saving trip to the USA.

But Lisa was admitted to ICU with pneumonia soon after she arrived. Afraid she would die there, the mother returned home to her three children Aaron (12), Ellie (10) and two-year-old Daryl.

Last month she fulfilled one of her dreams and married the love of her life Noel in an emotional ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

Lisa’s story and appeal for help touched the hearts of many in Tyrone, who rallied round to support her and make her final dream come true.

On her 31st birthday, friends and family organised a special video message from Westlife singer Shane Filan.

In spite of her failing health, she attended a fundraiser held in Dungannon and thanked her supporters and well-wishers. Noel posted a heartfelt tribute to her on Facebook. “Today I lost my friend, soul-mate and wife. Love you always baby,” he said.
