Man suffered ‘fractured jaw’ following Boxing night assaults in Coalisland


Police in Dungannon are appealing for information following the report of two separate assaults which occurred in the Coalisland area in the early hours of Friday 27th December.

A man in his 20’s suffered a fractured jaw as a result of the assault which took place sometime 1.30am and 2am outside licenced premises in the Plater’s Hill area of the town.

A report of a second assault outside a taxi office in the Plater’s Hill area at around 2am was also received.

It was reported that two females assaulted a woman and her boyfriend following a dispute.

The woman had clumps of hair pulled out and the boyfriend had a bottle smashed over his head leaving him requiring hospital treatment.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed either assault or who has any information to contact them in Dungannon on 0845 600 8000.
