A man was assaulted and ordered to leave the country during a burglary at a house in Cookstown on Saturday night.
It was reported that four men entered the house on Gortacar Road at around 11.30pm and assaulted the male occupant, a man aged in his 20’s, using bats, fists and feet and told him to leave the country.
Two of the men wore overalls and masks and two wore black jeans, boots, green jumpers and balaclavas.
The occupant suffered cuts and bruises as a result of the incident. It is believed that the men made off from the scene in two vehicles.
