NI Water said it is working hard to return services to those suffering either a drop in pressure or loss of water on Mid Ulster’s higher ground after a reservoir fault.
Supplies were disrupted in Coalisland, Cookstown, Dungannon, Newmills and Stewartstown.
But the situation has now been resolved in most homes according to a spokesperson.
They said: “NI Water is aware of a supply disruption in the Coalisland/Dungannon/Newmills/Stewartstown area this afternoon (Wednesday 7 October).
“This was as a result of a fault at a local supply reservoir.
‘‘NI Water responded quickly, and the situation has now been resolved. Customers on higher ground may have to wait slightly longer for their water pressure to increase as the system recharges.
‘‘We are grateful to our customers in the area for their patience while this issue was resolved.
“Anyone with any queries or concerns about their water supply should contact us via Waterline by dialling 03457 440088.”
