Almost 1,500 married people across Mid Ulster signed up to cheater’s website Ashley Madison, and most of them were men.
The shocking new figures, gleaned from an interactive online map showing the worldwide distribution of Ashley Madison members, can be seen at Malfideleco.
The town with the highest number of prospective cheats in Mid Ulster was Cookstown with 533 said to be registered on the site.
Draperstown comes top in the men-women ratio of those using the site with everyone of the 14 registered users in the village turning out to be men.
Dungannon, despite having around 20,000 more people than Cookstown, fared better on the infidelity stakes with just 337 registered users - but still 337 too many according to ‘The Impact Team’ hackers that released the information online.
If you are one of the male 24 members from Portglenone or the 12 in Bellaghy, you stand a much better chance of meeting a local female as almost 17% of those registered in each of these areas is a member of the fairer sex.
Not surprisingly, Belfast had the biggest number of registered users in Northern Ireland with 8,520. In Lisburn the figure was 976 registered users.
Launched in 2001, Ashley Madison claims to have over 40 million anonymous members worldwide and has the slogan, “Life is short. Have an affair”.
The company that owns the website has also furiously denied recent claims that the vast majority of its female profiles are fake.
