Planners give green light to new homes to be built in Dungannon

Around 70 new homes for the Dungannon area have been given the go-ahead by planning officials.

The applications, for the Park Road and Tamnamore Road areas, are due for ratification at a meeting of Mid Ulster District Council’s Planning Committee tomorrow night, Tuesday.

A five storey residential development of 30 apartments, which will be progressed by J and V Construction, relates to lands at 5 Park Road in the town.

Meanwhile, the Killyman area is set to benefit from extra housing after a proposal for 41 properties was recommended for approval by the council.

The development will consist of 41 houses and is due to be constructed on lands adjacent to and opposite 16 Tamnamore Road.

The development will consist of eight detached homes and 33 semi-detached homes, and associated site works.

The company behind that particular project is Corove Ltd.

A series of alterations to previously approved house types in the Knockmoy Park, Gortevin Terrace and Gortgonis Terrace areas of Coalisland, by J and V Construction, have also been approved.
