Plunging temperatures and more snow for Mid Ulster and Tyrone

Temperatures are expected to plunge to around -4 °C across Mid Ulster and parts of Tyrone on Saturday night, with more snow showers over the weekend.

The Met office said Saturday will be a bright and cold day with sunny spells but also a few sleet or snow showers.



Most of the showers will be across Counties Londonderry and Antrim with southern counties becoming mostly dry. Brisk westerly winds easing. Maximum Temperature 4 °C.

Saturday night: Clear spells and scattered wintry showers during the evening. The showers will become a little more widespread later in the night. A widespread frost with icy patches developing. Minimum Temperature -4 °C.

Sunday: Early sleet or snow showers will soon clear to leave a mostly dry and sunny day. Feeling cold in the northerly breeze with scattered wintry showers near the North Coast. Maximum Temperature 4 °C.
