Police are appealing for information following two burglaries in the south Tyrone area on Sunday, May 22.

The first occurred at a house in the Killeeshill Road area of Cabragh shortly before 5.30pm, during which a large amount of jewellery was stolen.

Around an hour later, at a house in the Old Monaghan Road area of Clogher, a homeowner disturbed two male burglars.

One was wearing a navy anorak with the hood up, while the other is described as in his late 20s/early 30s with short fair hair, of average height and build, wearing either a green or blue fleece.

Detective Constable Jonny Jeffers, of Dungannon and Cookstown Reactive and Organised Crime, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in either area around the time of the burglaries and who may have witnessed anything suspicious or anyone who has information that could assist in our investigation, to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, information can be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
