Police in Mid Ulster are conducting speed detection operations at local schools.

A police spokesperson said that numerous detections have been made resulting in £60 fines with £5 offender levy and driving licences endorsed with three points.
Particular attention has been given to Spires Integrated Primary on the Moneymore Road, Magherafelt.
"Despite a 50mph speed limit, motorists are still putting our children at risk by travelling this stretch of road at excessive speeds," said the spokesperson.
