An early morning fire in the Killymoon Crescent area of Cookstown on Tuesday morning is being treated as “deliberate” according to the Fire Service.
The Mail reported on Thursday how local man Will Lambe, along with Bob Davison, alerted the family whose shed and oil tank were ablaze.
Since then, we have also been speaking to Bob who helped to get everyone to safety.
Bob told the Mail how he ran into the house to make sure everyone got out as soon as possible, because the man who answered the door “was just confused and didn’t know what was happening”.
“After getting them out I went back into the house and closed their front door as I thought their car which was also on fire was going to explode and blow through the house and out the front,”
The PSNI has confirmed it is investigating the fire.
