Royal School Dungannon celebrates 400th Anniversary

In October, as part of the 1614-2014 celebrations, The Royal School Dungannon will host several special events, including a Celebration Service in St Anne’s Church and a formal dinner on Friday 10th October in the School Hall.

In addition there are several events which are open to the community:

• Saturday 4October at 8.00 p.m. – The Former Pupils Association and Parents Association Hog Roast and Dance in the Lower Campus Hall. Book your ticket by visiting http:/www.rsdfpa.org.uk/

• Tuesday 7 October at 10.30 a.m. – Unveiling of Ulster History Circle ‘blue plaque’ to James

Dilworth. Visitors welcome. Please gather outside ‘the Old Grey Mother’.

• Tuesday 7 October at 2.00 p.m. – Special Rugby Match. RSD 1ST XV vs Dilworth School, Auckland NZ on the Armstrong pitch, RSD.

• RSD 400 years Exhibition – this will run throughout the week, Monday 6th October to Friday 10th, with sessions at 10.30 am to 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm. Please report to the school reception office on the day.
