Talented pupils at St Mary’s Cabra took part in a concert to highlight their harmonious musical abilities on Monday night.
The school, which has about a quarter of its pupils learning an instrument under the Southern Education and Library Board Musicmakers programme, is renowned for its musical and singing achievements, with its pupils usually sweeping the boards at local competitions.
Pupils from P3 and up performed with gusto on a host of instruments, including recorders, violins, clarinets, violas, cellos, drums and the piano, and also sang and danced.
A full audience enjoyed the fabulous sounds and sights, with the money raised going to support the school’s musical education programme.
Principal Damian Kelly thanked the proud pupils, music tutors, staff at St Mary’s, and parents for making the night possible.
