‘Cannabis’ worth around £2,500 was taken off the streets over the festive period after police stopped and searched a vehicle near Dungannon.
The haul, which included the suspected drugs, mobile phones, a grinder, scales and plastic bags, was seized after police intercepted a driver on the Moy Road late on Boxing Day, and also made a subsequent search at his property.
Some of the seized items were found in the driver’s possession, while the others were located during a follow-up search of his home address.
His vehicle was also seized by the PSNI, due to it being used in crime they said.
Commenting on the discovery and arrest, PSNI Dungannon said on Facebook: “The driver was arrested last night [Boxing Day] and interviewed in custody this morning.
“He has now been released on bail to allow us to conduct further enquiries.”
