CHEF Gary Nicholls has a simple plan - to make the Fort the best pub eaterie in Dungannon town.
For the past two weeks, customers have been flocking to the newly re-opened restaurant on Scotch Street.
Although it has been refurbished, the 60 seat bar and restaurant still has the familiar Fort look and ambience, with its comfortable leather-seated alcoves.
Gary, who has 17 years experience in the restaurant business, said the Fort offers a unique dining experience for shoppers, workers and visitors to the town,
Local foodies have already been tucking into an extensive and reasonably priced breakfast and lunch menu which features traditional pub grub and a few new dishes.
“Everything is cooked from fresh”, said Gary. “As well as a comprehensive breakfast menu we have a great variety of lunch dishes including mixed starters, mains and sandwich specials.
“We also provide phone orders and a take away service for those too busy to use the restaurant.
“We are now taking bookings for special functions such as Communion and Confirmation parties.”
Breakfast is served at the restaurant from 9am to midday, with lunch from midday onwards.
A full range of drinks and cocktails is available from the bar.
