Ryan Harpur appreciates that the pressure has lifted after Dungannon Swifts bagged a crucial first win of the new campaign, a 2-0 success against Ballymena United.
The midfielder scored the first of two second half goals as they claimed the hugely important three points.
Although Harpur feels Dungannon’s early season performances have been good, they had taken just one point from their previous three games.
But he believes Saturday’s win has given the table a much healthier complexion.
“It was a good win and brings us up a bit, because I do think we’ve played well,” Harpur said.
“Obviously we haven’t put as many points on the board as we would like, but it takes you into next week with a bit more confidence.”
The game appeared to be heading for a stalemate until Harpur fired Dungannon in front 12 minutes from the end.Paul McElroy added a second late on to secure the points.
