Rising young country sensation Cliona Hagan, who hails from Tyrone, has released a third single from her hotly anticipated first studio album – and it’s going already going down a storm in dancing venues across the country.
‘Dance On’ is an up-tempo, high energy, feel good track which is set to become one of the most requested new tracks of 2016.
Cliona, who is currently putting the finishing touches to the album from which the track is taken, is excited for DJs and fans to hear her latest single. “I absolutely love this song and after months in the studio,” she said. “I’m thrilled to let everyone have a listen. It’s so much fun to sing along too and with so much energy in it, definitely appeals to the dancers! Dance On is a really feel good song and whether you’re listening to it in the car, getting ready for a big night out or dancing the night away in one of the many venues we’re hitting across the country, turning this song up is bound to make you smile.”
The young singer who went to school in Cookstown and who trained as a music teacher before going on to pursue a career on stage, has no regrets about taking the leap towards country music stardom.
Having already won ‘New Comer of the Year’ at the recent RTE Country Music Awards, it seems she made the right decision.
“Music is my first love and I really enjoyed teaching but performing is my real passion and as soon as I first stood on a stage I was hooked,” Cliona continued.
“So far, I’ve been blown away with how things have taken off. There are so many exciting things in the pipeline - I have my own band on the road now, a couple of really successful singles already out and the new album is due to be released very soon.
“Every day brings new challenges and experiences and I love every minute of it.”
